However, we would point out to you that form M can
only be released to party or parties on having the
original pro forma invoice on C&F Lagos from the
exporters from their completion and on obtaining the
approval on the form M, a copy of this approved form M
must be faxed to the exporter since this will be
required during the inspection. The Federal Government
of Nigeria has appointed the inspection agent who will
inspect the container(s) just to ascertain the
contents loaded inside the container as per the
descriptions of goods declared on the approved form M.
At this juncture, we feel free to inform you about the
directive of payment of foreign bills.All transactions
are based on 100% D/P, as all remittance are now go by
way of Telegraphic transfer, and since this will be
bank to bank transaction, no delay in remittance.
In addition to the above, the form 揗?has been
introduced, and that the information contained inside
the form 揗?are as follows before getting an approval
from the bank.
Note the following information:- Description of
Goods,Particulars of beneficiary, consignee, F.O.B.
value,freight charge, Total C&F Lagos etc.
In conclusion, the introduction of form M has
cancelled part payments or deposit on any foreign
bills, therefore, as soon as the shipment is made, and
the original shipping documents reaches our commercial
bank through your bank over there, we shall be
notified and the necessary steps will be implemented
towards transfer of funds as per the 揻ixed deposit?
with the bank, which must be equivalent to the total
value of our booking orders in US dollars.
Therefore,as soon as the shipment of goods are made,
all the original shipping documents must be
transmitted directly to the counter bank in Nigeria
and on the receipt of those documents, the consignee
will be notified towards remittance directly to the
account of the beneficiary without any delay and by
way of T/T only.
