If not, why? I am guessing most people will answerthat question with "I have a mortgage, a spouseand three kids to support." In the real world people have responsibilities. They have to makesacrifices. You aren't supposed to be happy with your job but you do it because you have to."
如果不是，为什么?我猜想大部分都会以“我要付房子的按揭贷款，还有爱人和三个孩子要养”之类的回答来搪塞这个问题。的确，在现实生活中，我们有自己的家庭责任，我们不得不做些牺牲，我们做着一些自己并不热爱的工作只因我们必需这样去做。
With all due respect, they are wrong. You can take care of your responsibilities and be happywith your job. We spend over 1/3 of our day, at least five days a week performing our jobs. Thisis a lot of time to be wasting on something we don't enjoy, is it not? Why not spend that timedoing something you truly are passionate about for 50 hours a week instead of something thatlacks meaning?
恕我直言，这一切并非正确。你可以兼顾你的责任，同时热爱你的工作。我们一天中要花去1/3的时间，至少一个星期5天去工作。如果不热爱这份工作，这确实是一笔很大的时间浪费，不是吗?为什么不能用这宝贵的时间，一星期50个小时去从做你真正激情洋溢的事情呢，而不是对你来说缺少意义的工作。
I think there is one main reason people don't follow their passion: fear. Fear of how others willreact, fear of failure, and fear that they can't do it themselves. I think the first part is forpeople to realize that they can conquer their fear. You will fail at times and others will thinkyou are crazy at times, but if you believe that you will succeed than you ultimately will.
我认为有些人之所以不去追求他们的梦想是有一个主要的原因：恐惧。惧怕他人的指指点点，惧怕失败，惧怕没有能力完成他们的梦想。我认为第一步人们应该去战胜恐惧。有时我们会失败，有时别人也会觉得你有些疯狂，但只要你坚信你能够成功，那么你最终必将成功。
I understand that it is not easy. I am in the middle of going through it right now. Butunderstand that there are other people out there who have been through what you are goingthrough and can help you immensely. They have failed, been ridiculed, and come out on theother end extremely successful. They are living proof that you can do what you love.
我理解这做起来并不容易。其实，我也正在克服追求我的梦想过程中的恐惧。但我们相信有些人已经从这个恐惧中坚强地走了出来，并愿意帮助我们。他们曾经失败过，被嘲笑过，但他们走向了胜利的彼岸。这些人的故事正是“你能做你所爱”的真实而有力的证据。
