In international trade, some customers always request for samples, they usually push you to send them samples,, but after you sent, there will be no any reply from them for a long time. You are not sure about what had happened? -----------the followings will give you some hints----1: because some traders or agents are not end-users, they have to show your samples to their end-users for trail use or inspection, so your customers need to await feedback from end-users, under this situation, if lucky, you may expect something happy, but never forget asking your customers to confirm. 2: It may be like this—after receipt of your samples, your customers are not satisfied with samples, such as—quality, designs, constructions and etc,. so customers will not make any replies to you. 3: For some samples, they are ok for them, but they need to test its quality and etc,., it may take some time to finish, so still some hopes, you can wait, but their reply may take a little longer time to give. 4: Some customers only wanna collect some samples, they might have found the right samples they need, so they will never give you any feedback. 5: Maybe they like your samples, but can not accept some of your trade terms, because they ask for samples from different suppliers. They might get one of suppliers they like, so no reply. How to deal with this tough problem?1: First try to know more about the customer you intend to send samples, such as something about their business line, business status like is he/she a agent, enduser and etc,.? so you will find out if there is any need to send or not. 2: Try to ask your customers to accept post charge collect, that means ask them to pay postage for samples, get their account no, so you can send by postage collect. Most reliable customers would like to accept this, pls try. For some customers, you can tell them your company has spent a lot on samples postage, which caused a heavy finance burden, you hope they can share some of your burdens, normally they can consider what you mentioned. All in all, sending samples is a headache, if you keep sending, the company will suffer a lot, boss will get mad especially no orders after sending, if not, you are afraid you’ll lose some future customers, without samples, who will know your products and its advantage? You refuse to send, but your competitors would like to send. Everything depends on your company’s business policy and how much charge your boss can bear. Textile business is mostly done by samples. Samples play an important role in it.Hope you luck in business and would like to hear your kind comments on above!![em2] [em2] [em2]
